Swan Table Lamp
Swan Table Lamp / silver lamp holder with blue mirage, cotton cord
INTRODUCTION & PROCESS
I've comibined the knowledge learned as an advertising photographer with my understanding of light, allied with my love of making 3D objects and upcycling, to create a beautiful range of sculptural, space enhancing lamps. I create the vast majority of my lamps from recycled, repurposed or foraged materials. During the making process I use new fixing & couplings, not to mention new electrical components.
I bend copper pipe by hand, I do this by using old skool traditional techniques, to create sculptural organic shapes. The entire process is done by hand, I don't use pipe benders.
I choose to leave the copper in its natural state, not adding any lacquers or chemicals after making the lamps, to stop the oxidization process. I prefer to let you decide that for yourselves.
You can clean them to a high shine by using fine, wire wool or use metal cleaner. Then add a lacquer to keep them in that state or you can let them oxidize and reach a beautifully natural finish. Its totally up to you.
All my lamps are PAT tested to UK specifications by a qualified electrician and come as standard without a bulb. If you would like a bulb adding to your order, this is an option at checkout.
- The Swan table lamp, stand 62cm(2ft) tall (please allow 1 cm either way due to the nature of the bending process) and have a base 13cm x 12cm, making them a great size for many situations from your bedside to lounge/coffee table.
- The lamp comes with a black cord with sliver flecks and a black 3Amp fused plug. The cord is cotton and the colour is blue grey, called 'Blue Mirage'. Its 150 cm (please allow 10cm either way)
- The lamp holder is silver/chrome and comes with an Edison screw fitting (e27) 40w max bulb.
I'm happy to take custom orders. This can mean, you need a different size, making the lamp taller or even smaller to suit your requirements.
If you would prefer a specific cable colour or lamp holder, I can accommodate this for an additional fee. It will also affect the timescale of completing your bespoke lamp (please allow an extra 10 working days) In the first instance, drop me a message with your requirements and time scale needed and we can go from there.
If you've any other specific requirements please get in touch. I'll do my best to help whatever your requirements.
